HydroElectronics is Buttler’s modular platform for sensing, control and hydromechanical management in sanitary systems.

Modular Control Platform For Water Systems

HydroElectronics separates sensing, control logic and water handling into dedicated modules, establishing a common technological foundation.

Inverse repositions water delivery to the front edge of the basin, reducing reach distance and the need for forward bending, while replacing conventional tap installations with an integrated control architecture.

By decoupling electronics and hydromechanics from the sanitary fixture itself, the platform enables safer operation, improved serviceability and flexible system configuration, ensuring controlled and predictable system behaviour in real operating conditions.

The platform is first implemented in the Inverse washbasin.

Platform Architecture

HydroElectronics distributes system functions across three coordinated layers:

Sensing
Sensors detect user presence and operational triggers, providing input signals for system activation.

Hydromechanics
Mixing, valve control and water delivery are handled by modular assemblies located in accessible service areas, supporting stable and controlled water behaviour.

Control Logic
A dedicated control unit manages timing, safety limits and system behaviour, ensuring predictable operation under both normal use and abnormal conditions.

This separation allows a single platform to support multiple sanitary products while maintaining controlled and reliable system performance.

Materials and Operating Conditions

HydroElectronics modules are designed for operation in direct proximity to potable water systems.

All water-contact components are manufactured from materials approved for drinking water applications.

The system supports cleaning procedures with hot water up to 90 °C and is designed for long-term operation in demanding environments, maintaining predictable behaviour over time.

Modules can be powered by mains supply, battery or hybrid configurations.

Bi-stable valve technology reduces energy consumption by requiring power only during state changes. The system includes fail-safe functionality that automatically closes the water supply in the event of power loss, ensuring safe operation under fault conditions.

Digital supervision and system integration

HydroElectronics can interface with external systems when monitoring or supervisory control is required.

Operational data — including system status, safety events, temperature conditions and service indicators — can be made available for facility management, enabling monitoring of system behaviour over time.

The platform can operate as a standalone system or as part of a connected installation.
